uniTEST is a generic university admissions test being developed to assist universities in making admissions decisions and widen participation in Higher Education.
uniTEST, provided jointly by ACER and Cambridge Assessment, can be used to make student selection and recruitment fairer than it is already, whilst bringing greater transparency to the admissions process.
The test has been designed to assess the kinds of reasoning and thinking skills that underpin studies at Higher Education and that are needed to succeed at this level. The test complements the information currently available to help create a more holistic admissions system.
uniTEST assesses reasoning and thinking skills across the two broad domains of mathematics and science and humanities and social sciences.
We have recently published the Initial Report on Phase Two of uniTEST Validity Study - October 2006 (453Kb) that outlines our research and evaluation findings so far.
